About Primary Advantage Maths

The PA Maths Planning Document was developed in 2014 by a group of practising teachers from the PA Federation as a comprehensive planning aid aligned to the National Curriculum.  It was used by hundreds of primary schools in Hackney, across London and beyond. For over 10 years our “PA Maths Programme’ trained teachers across the country to develop high quality mathematics pedagogy and deepen their subject knowledge. We hope we made a positive contribution towards maths teaching and learning through that training programme, our annual maths conferences, and via the resources we shared.

We now partner very closely with our local NCETM Maths Hub, and our schools engage actively with their research based professional development. Some of our teachers have completed the NCETM Maths Mastery Specialist training programme and we now deliver training for the NCETM, here in Hackney, to our local colleagues from across North and East London.
